Rain Rain come as you may, I’ll still have a grand ol’ day. So yeah, despite the downpours during the weekend, it was Great! Starting with St James, hanging with the boys “Josie” and “Jenny” on Friday, that was way fun! If you think girls are bitchy, boys are just plain mean k. J Sometimes, guys have it right, when you party, don’t think, just spend, drink and be merry! It’s that simple! Now why didn’t I think of that?

At first I was resigned to a Friday at home because my girlies decided, they were going to be busy. But heck, it’s a Friday, I’m free, I’m going to Party! And party I did. Thanks “Jenny”! Anyway, before the fun started, the boys were running a bit late, so with the only entertainment I had –the Handphone. Give a girl a phone, she’ll be entertained for hours. I called Kay, my hello kitty loving bestfriend from primary school, we both have lost contact with most of our schoolmates and stuck together because

  1. I never let her forget me,
  2. I love her mummy’s fried macaroni
  3. Her mummy loves me!
  4. The shared memory of our friend who threatened suicide because of us and wanted to kill us, so we spent the whole morning before assembly at the porch too afraid to go to class. Hahaha..stupid fools.

Let me introduce her, she’s one of the nicest, most easy going person I know, she and her boyfriend have been together like forever! Maybe even before the dinosaurs. So every time I meet her or call her, the first question I’d ask is “Are you getting married yet?” and she’ll always reply with a “No laaaaa, so young marry what?” BUT, this time it was “Hehe, yeah, he proposed!” OMG! And she didn’t tell me sooner? Haha…so to make up for it, she told me I was second of her friends to know…fine. I forgive you and you owe me sushi and tons of free makeup. So I digress.

Back to my fantastic Friday, I must say though, girls are stingy little creatures when it comes to the important things, including yours truly, up till Friday, I only ever went clubbing on Wednesdays, Ladies night. The clubs are always jam packed with girls and I always thought where were the boys? Ha, but on Friday, where entry is 20 bucks, there was hardly a girl in sight! The place was packed with boys and well, half the girls from my secondary four class. The night finally ended at 5am with cheap pratas of course. So on my way home to sleep, I saw people who’d just woken up and doing their morning exercise on a Saturday morning. Crazy! And I happen to know one of these crazy people. My crazy, screw loose in the head sister, the beautiful Donna. While, I was in slumber land, treasuring the combined moment of rain outside, air con inside, all the time in the world to sleep, under the comfy duvet. Shiokness. She was Swimming 200m, Biking 10km and Running 2km at the Osim Triathlon on Saturday Morning. Like I said, Crazy. I swear one of us is adopted. She tried to get me to support her, even luring me with the tanned, hunky lunky guys who tend to enjoy this exercising on Saturday Mornings phenomenon.

So I finally woke up at 2pm to get ready for Diana’s wedding, it was my first malay wedding and luckily “Hazlinda” was nice enough to explain everything that was going on. Oh and the food was sinful and really yummy! But what I’m really proud off was the fact that I lived life dangerously for once in my life by shock shock horror horror, did NOT put a parking coupon because I was lazy to walk back to the car in the rain to extend the coupons. Gosh, the feeling of guilt was just eating me up inside. Haha…luckily I didn’t get a fine. I was burping nasi briyani for the rest of the evening.

When I came home, I suggested watching the Kym Ng movie “Gone Shopping” with my mummy and since Donna was bored too, and knew she’d get a free movie cause there’s a rule in the house, you suggest, you pay. So we had a little mummy-daughter bonding session. Watching a rather strange movie.  After the movie, in the car, my mummy questioned me rather cautiously, (this happens when she has had a previous conversation with my sisters and they have discussed Plan A,B and C of how to handle my various reactions to the posed question) the question was, “Mi, Do you want to wake up at 6 am tomorrow?” Like what the hell right??? There’s one thing worst then waking up early on a Saturday and that’s waking up early on a Sunday. Already, the waking up early for mass is a major drag. So before I could mouth the expected “WHAT, ARE YOU CRAZY TO EVEN ASK, if I could I will never wake whilst there still sunlight speech?” reaction, my sister eyeing me through the rear view mirror cuts in and says, “for Dim Sum…, damn (my favourite Sunday morning breakfast) …at Crystal Jade” damn (at a restaurant, they have pin pointed my weakness for restaurants and love of all things atas.) It’s not fair! They are using Food and my love for high class living against me! Crap. So I found myself in the car on the way to breakfast at Crystal Jade at 7 freaking am on a Sunday Morning. Damn my family knows me too well.

After church, we all went to Vivo for a little walk around because really, the only thing the movie I remembered about the movie the night before was how long I haven’t been to Tangs. So I went to Tangs, walk around and remembered why I stopped going to Tangs. I guess the next time I step in there will be Christmas. Anyway, with my sister being quite generous, we went to Kim Gary at Vivo city, it’s a hong kong restaurant which sells Maggi Mee, which everyone was eating la. I don’t understand. So trying hard not to give in to the mainstream temptation, I ate some spaghetti like thing with some spaghetti like sauce, craving to try the overpriced Maggi Mee. Anyway, the highlight of lunch was the couple sitting across from us, Donna, Papa and I was “studying” them while waiting for our food.

Donna mentioned, “Its soooo obvious they are on their first couple of dates la.”

Me: Why leh?

Don: Look how shy they both are?

Me: The guy is so attentive to her la, look he’s looking so intently into her eyes.

Don: Yeah, and she’s looking down and keeps touching her skirt. So shy laa..

Papa: Why does she keep taking pictures of her food? Does she like the food that much? The boy is trying to talk to her.

Don: Yeah, mad right? Do you see Mummy or I taking photos of our food.

Pa: If Mummy starts taking photos of her food, I’m going to change tables.

Hehe…then the food came.

So anyway, now its Monday and I’m back at work having to deal with the “Irritable Bowel Syndrome”. Waiting for the time to pass so I can finally go on my Simpsons “date” tonight with Debbie who realizes she can’t live without weekly dosage of Ames and finally decided she has time for me. Yay!!!  Hi Debbs… !! Movie dates with Debbs are always especially fun! I love having plans on Monday!
